Handle It

"No matter how hard it gets...

stick your chest out, keep your head up and handle it." – Tupac

Being a small business owner is absolutely amazing! There are few better feelings than seeing your dreams realized and your ideas brought to fruition. Being your own Boss and owning your own stake in this world is the American dream, and we are so thankful to be doing this. That being said, this small business thing is HARD! There are so many logistical elements that need to be set up, money that needs to be spent, connections that need to be made and on top of all of that, sometimes you need just plain luck in order to be successful! On a daily basis, a multitude of things come up that can deflate your spirit and make you question why you are doing what you are doing. “My Instagram posts aren’t getting enough likes and comments…”

“I was expecting our sales to be way higher than this!” “Do people even want our product??” All of those thoughts and questions are completely valid and necessary to keep you striving to be the best and be successful. You might fail at times and that’s okay! Jordan Belfort has an awesome quote where he says “When you do something, you might fail. But that’s not because you’re a failure. It’s because you have not learnt enough. Do it differently each time. One day, you will do it right. Failure is your friend.” If your posts aren’t getting the reactions that you want, switch up on what you are posting! Maybe the time of day, or the content that you are posting isn’t effective and those small changes may make all the difference. If your sales aren’t where you need them to be, try adjusting your pricing, or looking into your company’s SEO to ensure that people are able to find your business online. If you aren’t confident that people want your product, send out surveys to your social media community asking for feedback on what people truly think about what you are selling. There is always something else that you can do to make your situtation better and get you where you need to be; just don’t give up before you get there! We would love to hear from you on what struggles you may be having and what methods you’ve used to push through and become stronger.
